Drug Testing
The FUDT Laboratory tests for drugs of abuse and is relied upon by industries nationwide to ensure the safety of their employees. The FUDT Laboratory also works with established programs providing abstinence monitoring, quality control validation for pharmaceutical manufacturers and testing for professional sports teams. The facility utilizes high-speed auto analyzers (Enzyme Immunoassay) for drug screening with secondary (confirmatory) testing by Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry.
 
Therapeutic Drug Monitoring
The Therapeutic Drug Monitoring Laboratory provides analytical services to detect and quantify the concentration of prescribed drugs in serum, plasma, whole blood, and urine. The laboratory relies upon sophisticated instrumentation and multiple detection systems including Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS), High Performance/High Pressure, (HPLC), Liquid Chromatography, and Gas Chromatography (GC).
 
Biological Monitoring
The Biological Monitoring Laboratory provides analytical services for the determination of the exposure of individuals to contaminants in their environment. With an emphasis on tests that measure metals in blood, urine and serum, additional programs available include the determination of chlorinated and aromatic industrial solvents, PCB’s, pesticides, resin hardening agents, and other hazardous chemicals. The laboratory has a scientific and technical expertise to provide method development and contract management, and is operated under GLP guidelines as stipulated by the CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act).
 
Forensic Toxicology Laboratory
Forensic Toxicology Laboratory – a specialized analytical laboratory that provides comprehensive toxicology services to the legal community. Tests performed include drug and alcohol testing of blood, urine, and suspected contraband substances. Tests performed include drug procedures satisfy the rigorous requirements of forensic laboratory analysis and qualify as evidence in courts of law. Additional services include expert testimony, consultation, documentation, and case review. Licensed as a Forensic Alcohol Laboratory by the California Department of Health Services, the laboratory is registered with the DEA for possession of all schedules of controlled substances for examination, gravimetric analysis and comparative testing purposes.
 
Medical Surveillance
The Medical Surveillance Laboratory is responsible for routine health screening of corporate American and occupational clinics throughout the United States. The laboratory adheres to the rules and regulations of the California State Department of Health as well as the College of American Pathologists. The Pacific Toxicology medical director has final jurisdiction in achieving compliance with state and federal regulatory agencies.
